QLD Kyokushin State Titles – May 10, 2014

On Saturday May 10, KIMAA’s Sempai James Campbell competed in the Queensland Kyokushin State Titles (IKO Matsui).

Sempai James came runner up in his division. He fought exceptionally well. 2014MayTournament3

Shihan Rick Cunningham flew up with James from Sydney for the occasion. Sensei Mark McFadden, Sempai Jon Ellis, Sempai Rob James and others also came to support Sempai James.

Sempai James began Kyokushin in 2008, grading to 1st Dan in 2012. He has also been to Japan twice, as recently as last year, for training. This was his first tournament.

The following morning Shihan Cunningham led a class at Lismore Dojo. The North Coast seniors, Sempai Rob, Sempai James and Gen participated.
